Its hard to describe the book without giving too many details away. America realizes she needs to fight for the things that she loves. She stands to lose Maxon to one of the other girls, and the rebel threat is growing stronger. America realizes that there is so much at stake. In The One, there are only four girls left.
The rebel threat had become more dangerous to the palace walls, and America herself was becoming a threat to the King. America was still struggling between who to choose, Aspen or Maxon. In The Elite, the group of 35 girls had been shaved down to just a handful. America was torn between her love for her past love, Aspen, or for the prospect of this new love. So with the first book, 35 girls had been selected to try and win the heart of Prince Maxon, the heir to the throne of Illea. If you’ve read the other two books, then you can probably assume what the book is about, but I’m going to give a little synopsis anyways. I would have finished it last night, but it got way too late and I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. I knew once I got my hands on The One, it would be the same way. When I read The Elite, I finished it in one day in one sitting. Their loss!Īnyways, if you have read The Selection or The Elite, then you might have been anticipating the conclusion to this book as well. One person took themselves off the list, the library ordered like 7 more copies, and a few people failed to pick up their copies when the book was available to them. Its finally here! The final book in the Selection series! I’ve been waiting for this book for a long time, and I got really lucky in how fast I got it! I was number 14 in the wait list for this book at the library. If you haven’t read them yet, I urge you to go check out my other two reviews of the books. *This review has spoilers for the other two books. Other Books Reviewed: The Selection, The Elite
